NOTICE: I've set up a Yahoo Group for Cincy Taus to use as a mailing list and way to set up more outings/get-togethers. Check it out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cincytaus and sign up today.

1/7/02 - Happy New Year! Gregg Hochman and his wife Michelle are expecting their second child. Can the world handle another?? Congrats, guys! Also, a bunch of us old guys got together on January 4th for a spontaneous night out. It included much beer, many stories of small children, body functions, body parts, Bob (the guy who used to play at Arlin's a lot), and comparisons of each other to minor planetoids (good lord we're fat). Those who chose not to attend were ridiculed behind their backs. Ha!

9/29/01 - John Godwin writes in to give me his new contact info (now on the Brothers listing) and to let us all know that he, his wife of 4 years, and their 3-year-old daughter Abby are doing well. John's a Deputy Sheriff in Logan County, Ohio. Gregg Hochman also writes to send us a photo of him, his wife Michelle, and their 1-year-old daughter Madison.

7/14/01 - OK, lotsa happenings. Mike and Heather Lord welcomed their daughter, Emma Catherine, into the world on June 29. Congrats, you two...she's a keeper! Also, Craig Froehle and his wife, Lori, moved from North Carolina back to Cincinnati on July 9th. Craig, after finishing up his Ph.D. at UNC, will be joining the faculty of UC's College of Business Administration as an Assistant Professor of Operations Management.

12/11/00 - Kevin Leedy announced that he's now engaged. According to Kevin, "her name is Kirsten Ostrander and she is the best thing since sliced bread." Whether or not she is the best thing since the remote control, however, may be a more contentious debate. :)

12/2/00 - Becker tied the knot...now everybody pay up who thought it'd never happen. ;)

10/6/00 - Jeff Becker reminds us all of his impending wedlock to Kathleen, which should be taking place December 2nd. Also, they ask for your best wishes for Kathleen's father, who is still trying to regain his health after recent surgery.

5/15/00 - Mike "Sparky" Killian and his wife Carol just welcomed a new addition to the family. On May 7, Eric Michael Killian was born, and is the Killians' second child (his sister Amanda is now two years old).

3/30/00 - Mike Internoscia wrote in to update his new address and to let me know he's been keeping busy gardening, training for a marathon, and taking tennis lessons. So, if you're in need of a birthday gift for Nova, a fat, little yard gnome might be nice.

3/13/00 - Jeff Becker finally got around to telling me that he got engaged to Kathleen Herron on New Year's Eve. The big day is December 2nd, unless Jeff gets cold feet before then. Congrats to you both!!

10/30/99 - Mike Lord and Heather Donohue were (finally) married in a wonderful ceremony in Lafayette, Indiana. There were so many fat ATO's in attendance that it got dark an hour earlier that weekend (our added gravitational pull caused the sun and moon to align). The reception was a hoot, as were the many outings to Purdue's fine drinking establishments (gotta watch out for that 'Sex on the Beach' at Harry's). Pictures now available: ATO's (plus Dave) before the wedding and the happy couple.

10/26/99 - Matt Cordonnier (Active) writes to say that the chapter is continuing its success by doing float with the KD's for Homecoming 1999 (November 6th if you can stop by). Also, the house has "24 of the best pledges on campus" -- keep up the fine job, gentlemen.

9/27/99 - Matt Wagner, a recent alum, writes to say that the house won another True Merit bowl! That's great news, indeed. He also would like your thoughts on setting up an initiative to get the house rewarded for maintaining a 2.8 GPA. You can write him with your thoughts and for more info at mw169@prism.gatech.edu.

8/30/99 - Ron Griffin writes in from Pittsburgh to catch us up. He says, "Brenda (Strahler) and I were married last October after 6 1/2 years of "living in sin", from a shabby little apartment on Riddle Rd. to Columbus (Ohio State Dental School) to Toledo (a dental residency) to Pittsburgh (a pediatric dental residency). In June I'll be finished and getting a 'real' job. And we're going to have a baby...next April (keep your fingers crossed.)" Good luck with everything to you both!!

8/30/99 - Shawn Bogner is happy to announce that they have a new member of the family. George Thomas Bogner was born on August 8/10/99. He joins his big sister Christina (3 1/2) at home with parents Shawn and Tammy.

8/22/99 - I just a copy of the Cincy Tau newsletter, and cripes, is our active chapter ever kicking butt!!! They came away from the Greek Awards banquet with no fewer than six of the top nine awards, including Outstanding Chapter, Most Improved Fraternity, Membership Development Award, Campus Relations Award, Chapter Management Award, and House and Grounds Award. Gentlemen, that's some serious metal you lugged back!! :) Congrats, and keep up the great work.

5/11/99 - Bob "Captain" Kopp wrote in to let us all know about the 'ATO 80's Reunion' happening on Saturday, August 14th from 3:00 to 9:00 pm in Winton Woods at the Sweetgum Slopes Shelter. It's for "ATO's and Little Sisters of the era," although I don't think many would be turned away. According to Bob, you need to (1) SHOW UP! Bring a dish, snack or dessert to share, your own drinks (beer and alcohol are allowed), and $2/person to contribute toward the cost of the shelter and the inevitable bratts and metts. (2) SPREAD THE WORD. Pass the word along to any ATO's or little sisters you talk to via e-mail, phone or regular mail. (3) RSVP. Tony and Maria Keri of Cincinnati will be coordinating the food, so a rough head count would be appreciated. Contact via e-mail: amkeri@aol.com or mariakeri@aol.com or by phone at (513)753-8708.

5/11/99 - Doug Turner writes in to say that he and his wife are doing great, living in West Chester, and enjoying their two child-substitute "floppy-eared dogs." :-) Hope the BBQ was great, Doug...sorry we couldn't make it.

5/10/99 - Andrew Maddux, Active, informed me that Founders' Day has moved from its previous date to June 6 (Sunday). Contact him at madduxac@email.uc.edu for more info.

4/6/99 - Andrew Maddux, Active, wants all us old fogies to know that the 1999 Founder's Day golf outing will be held on May 22, 1999. Contact him at madduxac@email.uc.edu for more info.

2/8/99 - Eric Carlin, current Secretary at Delta Lambda, writes to say that the house is doing float with the KD's next year and that their pledges got top grades on campus for Fall quarter with a 2.98. Way to go, guys! So who's donating the Float-mobile?

12/15/98 - Jen and Mark Dornoff have brought forth new Dornoffs into the world once again...this time it's twin boys. Nicholas and Nathan were born 12/2/98, and their singing ability (or lack thereof) has yet to be determined. Good luck guys, and best wishes to the rest of your family.

11/16/98 - Tim Stauffer writes in to say that he, his wife Karen, and their two daughters, Madison (5) and McKenzie (2), are doing great in Texas. (Is it just a coincidence that their children are both named after famous food spokepeople...Dolly Madison and Spuds McKenzie? You be the judge.)

9/18/98 - Mike Lord and Heather Donohue announced their engagement today (finally ;-). Congratulations, you two! BTW, the ATO's only have one request for the wedding: an open bar.

10/5/98 - Eric Carlin, current Secretary of the house, informed us that we just initiated 4 new brothers! Also, Homecoming '98 will be on 11/14 and everyone is welcome at the house at 10am before going to see the Tau float motor down Clifton. Game time is at 3:30pm vs. Houston.

9/14/98 - Shawn Bogner updates us on his life since graduation (1989). He writes, "I was married in 1994 with a fine showing of ATO's (Weikert, Dawson, Kratzer, Cooler, Stauffer, Janosik, Becker, Bartson, Kopp, Lawrence, Dornoff, Maus, etc...) We have a 2 1/2-year-old daughter named Christina. [Ed note: I'm assuming that he means his wife and he had a daughter rather than the ATO's and he.] I started working for Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. when I graduated. In 1994, they reorganized and I declined a transfer to Tennessee. I am working for a small Silicone Rubber Manufacturer now as Plant Engineer and Quality Assurance Coordinator." For his latest contact info, check out the 'Brothers' page (link above).

7/23/98 - When it rains, it pours. Corn and Jen are expecting TWIN BOYS in December. They will join daughter Madison, age 18 months, in lifelong lessons in the art of colorful speech and truly tuneless singing. Also, Karl Klaus wanted us to know that all is well in Western Florida (or at least what's left of it). He and his wife will be moving to Chicago in August so he can pursue a new job opportunity. I'm sure those in the ChicagoLand area will appreciate the new source of gravity headed their way.

6/4/98 - I just learned that Matt Hutter is doing well on the NASCAR Busch Grand National racing circuit. Currently ranked #12 overall, you can visit the current standings and then link to Matt's bio page. Way to go, Matt - you're living your dream, that's for sure. Now if you could only drive while playing your guitar...

5/2/98 - Troy Bartson was married to Barbara Ann Tilsley in Cincinnati. Tim Weikert and Bob Kopp were groomsmen. Mike Torok performed some of the readings. Also attending were Rick Luken and Ed Fitch. Congratulations, and all the best!

4/27/98 - Mike and Carol Killian welcomed a new daughter, Amanda Beth Killian. Click here to see her with a proud papa. Let's hope she takes after Carol :^)

3/26/98 - Scot Jonas emailed me some photos from a recent ATO trip to the races...horses that is. Click here for Ed, Mike, and Heather looking like two J. Crew models and a drunken frat boy. Click here for Leedy and Ed engaged in a lively debate over the relative benefits of crystal lattice structures while Dan thinks, "hey, horses!" Click here for a photo of Doug right before he smacked Scot (holding the camera) while Pam and Angela, interrupted from their game of "What's that smell?", look onward. Needless to say, everyone had fun.

3/3/98 - Kevin Leedy recently started working at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio as a Materials Research Engineer. He graduated with his Ph.D. from U. of Illinois in 1997. By the way, Bones, do you still subscribe to Metal Chatter or Carbon? ;^)

12/19/97 - Doug Lawrence finished his MBA (way to go Doughead!) and his wife Julie is finishing up her nursing schooling. The kids, Bronwyn & Alyssa are doing great and looking very much like Mom & Dad! (hopefully they'll be taller)

12/1/97 - Dave Johns (1991) and his wife (well, moreso his wife, actually) gave birth to their daughter, Katie Noelle, on 11/11/97. She joins her older brother, Christopher MacQuarrie (6/21/96), to, as Dave puts it, "(hopefully) complete the Johns family." :)

10/4/97 - Pete Sodieka and Carol Taylor were married in a lovely historic church in downtown Houston. Congratulations, guys. (We Cincy Taus are dropping like flies! ;^)

10/8/97 - Rumor has it that Gary Meiners is getting married December 6, 1997. (Thanks for the tip, Lou) Alleys are mighty unpleasant during those cold December nights in Cincinnati!

9/12/97 - Scott Jackson and his new wife, Liz, were officially joined in the holy bonds of matrimony. Congrats, kids.

9/4/97 - Dennis Decker writes in: "I just bought a house! It is up in Deer Park [Cincinnati]. Just closed last Friday, and will be moving in the 12th. Just think, I'm now in debt for the next 30 years! How exciting!" Not just in debt, now you have something to do every weekend, too.

6/2/97 - Mark Dornoff and family are returning to the Cincinnati area around July (welcome back, kids). Craig Froehle and his wife are moving to Chapel Hill, NC at the end of June to pursue a Ph.D. in business and a residency in Anesthesiology respectively at UNC (see them off at Brew Works on June 26th ~7:30pm :)

3/21/97 - Chambo writes in to say "I wanted to get the word out that I am hiring Softwa developers in my group at Motorola. I am hiring both new graduates and software engineers with prior experience." Call 847-632-2133 to contact him if you're interested.

2/26/97 - Mark and Jen Dornoff just had a little girl, Madison Nicole, born February 18th. Mark is also considering a job change and is looking in Charlotte and Cincinnati.

1/30/97 - Steve Kearney let us know that he and Colleen are doing well and that Scott Herrmann and his wife Melissa just had a baby boy in December. I guess all those groin shots were to no avail ;-) Congrats you guys!!

11/13/96 - KenPen let us know that he's now with Walt Disney (the company, not the deceased) in Florida. He also is yearning to get together with ATO's or other UC Bearcat fans in the Central Florida area for 'Cats games this season. And he points out that UC does play South Florida this year (hmmm.....)

11/11/96 - Corn wrote in to sey "Hey" to a bunch of folks, and to let those of us who didn't know already that Jen (his wife) is six months pregnant. Way to go, Corn...so when you going to start giving the little nipper(s) a vocabulary lesson? ;-)

11/4/96 - Doughead wrote to let me know that he and his wife and two daughters are doing great. Doug is partway through his MBA and working on a microbrew research project (go figure!) Help him out by answering a few simple questions at his survey page.

11/28/96 - Happy Thanksgiving! John Macomber wrote in to say he's currently at UC working on his Masters degree in Sociolgy at UC. Also, he let me know that Doug Turner just got engaged (to be married in April) and just bought a house. Betcha it ain't got as nice a basement as the ATO house! ;)
